Tom is a Senior Solicitor in our Military team and acts for service personnel, veterans and their families in a variety of claims. Tom has previously worked for two national law firms, handling high value and complex claims.
Tom manages a wide range of personal injury claims, including those involving Non-Freezing Cold Injury (NFCI), injuries arising from training accidents as well as instances of bullying and harassment in the workplace.
He is also very experienced in dealing with claims involving clinical negligence, including delayed diagnosis of orthopaedic injuries and cancer, as well as failures to adequately treat the symptoms of PTSD and other mental health conditions.
Tom is particularly interested in managing claims involving catastrophic and life-changing injuries, such as brain injuries and amputations. In a widely reported case Tom acted for a client whose doctors had failed to diagnose an infection after bowel surgery. This led to the client developing a flesh eating bug which had serious life-altering consequences for him. The Defendant eventually admitted liability after Court proceedings were issued and his client received a six figure award for compensation.
Tom also has experience of Inquests and dealing with fatal accident claims on behalf of families and dependents. He understands how important these enquiries are to families and protects his clients’ interests with care and attention.
Tom helps his clients through the whole claim process and does all he can to ensure immediate assistance is provided including wherever possible obtaining interim payments and arranging for treatment and rehabilitation.
