Subha joined Bolt Burdon Kemp LLP in 2005 and is now a Senior Legal Accounts Coordinator.
Subha began her career in Accounting in Australia and she has more than 20 years’ experience working in Accounting in Law firms which enables her to comprehend a unique perspective when faced with an accounting challenge.
Subha is responsible for accounts induction training for new members of the firm and providing guidance where needed. Subha also trains legal cashiers and other finance staff and provides advice and support in a timely manner.
Subha enjoys investing significant time and effort in breaking down complex accounting matters to fee earners by explaining them in the simplest way possible according to the SRA rules. She is up to date on the SRA rules and frequently shares knowledge and raises awareness of accounting issues.
Subha is responsible for producing accurate month end and Group leader financial reports. She is also responsible for the initial approval for online payments and also responsible for checking the transfers list to make sure all the transfers are done within the time limit to comply with an accounts rule. She also deals with an external agency to make sure the claims are refunded without any delay.
Subha is immensely passionate about the work she does and is proud to be a contributor to the excellent service provided by the firm. Subha likes to embrace challenges and solving them promptly. She has a passion to train people in order to broaden up their knowledge and bring out their absolute potential. Subha is also keen to nurture and develop talent within the firm.
Subha is a fluent Tamil speaker and believes her language skills are beneficial in broadening the scope of clients for the firm.
Subha completed the ILFM Associate Level Exams and she won the ILFM’s Part Associate Award for the highest mark for the Tax for Legal Finance Professionals Examination for the November 2021 exam sitting.
Subha was asked by the ILFM to write a blog, titled ‘A Day in the Life’ and it has been published on the ILFM and BBK websites.
