Katie joined the firm in January 2025 as a Junior Support Clerk within the support team.
Her role includes preparing trial bundles, managing document tasks such as scanning, amending, and formatting, assisting clients and fee earners face to face and on the telephone, and handling internal and external post, including their collection, distribution, and dispatch.
Katie gained valuable experience through her voluntary work at the Citizens Advice Bureau, where she served as an Advice Line Telephone Assessor. In this role, she acted as the first point of contact for clients facing urgent and complex issues, such as potential evictions or eligibility for food vouchers. This experience has strengthened Katie’s problem-solving skills and commitment to delivering excellent service to clients, ensuring their needs are met with care and professionalism. Additionally, it has enhanced her ability to collaborate effectively and support those within her team. Katie looks forward to showcasing her talents at the firm, contributing positively to clients and colleagues alike.
Katie graduated with a 2:1 in Law from the University of Kent in 2022, where she discovered her passion for medical law and ethics through a dedicated module on the subject. This further sparked her interest in medical negligence and deepened her understanding of the ethical and legal regulations surrounding medical practice. She then completed her master’s in law at Nottingham Trent University, which included preparation for SQE 1 and SQE 2.
Looking to the future, Katie aspires to progress as a paralegal and ultimately qualify as a solicitor, focusing on supporting vulnerable clients.
