Louisa is our Accounts Manager and joined Bolt Burdon Kemp’s service company, Igloo Law Limited, in January 2006 as Legal Cashier and worked her way up to her current role over the course of a few years.  In April 2018 she made the move to work solely for Bolt Burdon Kemp.

She is responsible for the overall running of Cash Office, ensuring compliance of both internal and external accounts rules and procedures.  As part of the Financial Operations Team she works closely with our Finance Partner, Luke Nicholls, looking after all areas of the firms’ finances, both in the current day and forecasting for the future.

Louisa started her career with a major UK bank in High Holborn, where the majority of clients were Barristers and Law Firms, and it was this that lead her to specialise in legal accounts.  Prior to joining Bolt Burdon Kemp, Louisa headed up the cashiering team at a nationwide volume conveyancing practice and was also a Senior Office Cashier in a well-known top 50 multi-national firm working in both their London and European offices.

Louisa has worked in legal accounts since 1997 and is a member of the Institute of Legal Finance and Management (ILFM). She is qualified to ILFM (dip) level and is currently working towards AILFM.

Louisa is passionate about improving the financial IT systems within the firm and has been part of two large data conversion projects during her time at Bolt Burdon Kemp.  She has also worked closely with our current suppliers on testing new software functionality before general release.
