Natasha Mason is a Senior Solicitor in the Military Claims team at Bolt Burdon Kemp, supporting the team’s business development and public affairs work alongside supporting the team’s clients.
Natasha is passionate about improving support and advocacy for the military community. Her lived experience of the medical discharge process from the Armed Forces after sustaining injuries herself during service allows her to connect with and support clients and veterans on a personal level. It also informs her work across welfare initiatives, outreach and public engagement.
Before moving into the legal sector, Natasha served for 19 years in the Royal Navy as a Weapons Engineer. Her military career included operational deployments aboard HMS Invincible, HMS Bulwark, HMS Ocean and HMS Enterprise, giving her first-hand insight into service life and the challenges faced by serving personnel and veterans.
Alongside her role at BBK, Natasha is actively involved in the Armed Forces charity sector. She volunteers with the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity and has spent 10 years volunteering with Plymouth Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club, where she organised the Club’s first coach holiday for 40 veterans.
That experience led Natasha to co-found Veterans Voyage CIC in 2026, a community interest company that organises group holidays for veterans, helping to reduce loneliness and improve wellbeing.
Natasha is a former Chair of Forces Law and now serves as the organisation’s social media and communications officer. She is also an appointed Member of the Veterans Advisory and Pensions Committee (VAPC).
In her home life, Natasha is a dedicated advocate and case manager for her father, who has complex care needs following spinal cord injury. When she gets the chance to switch off, she enjoys travelling, spending time with her dog Buddy and enjoys the theatre.
