Carlota joined Bolt Burdon Kemp as a Junior Compliance Administration Assistant in July 2024. She works alongside Amanda Garner, Partner and Compliance Manager and Pete Follis, Senior Compliance Assistant.
The Compliance team ensures that the firm remains compliant with external policies and regulations as well as the firm’s own internal high standards. The compliance team works hard to promote best practices to provide the optimal service to clients. In her day-to-day role, Carlota completes a range of key administrative functions, such as undertaking periodic file audits, assisting in the collation of client file requests, and conducting compliance inductions.
Prior to joining BBK, Carlota worked in a primary school. In this role she provided essential support to teachers, students, and their families. Her responsibilities included managing sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to policies to safeguard children, managing lesson planning, and promoting a positive learning environment. She played a crucial role in supporting the development of pupils and her commitment to child protection underscores her dedication to ethical practices.
Carlota is currently carrying out a BA Honours degree in Childhood and youth studies. In addition to this, she holds a Level 2 diploma in Business Administration. Carlota embodies a positive and helpful attitude, always striving for the best results. She is deeply committed to making a positive difference and contributing her skills and knowledge to maintaining ethical practices, upholding legal requirements within the firm and supporting the firm and our clients. Carlotas diverse skills set includes critical evaluation, effective communication, and problem-solving acumen.
