Hema is a Senior Solicitor in the Child Brain Injury team, joining the firm in February 2020.
Hema completed her training contract at a London law firm and gained experience in the employment, personal injury and clinical negligence departments. During her time in the clinical negligence department, Hema supported Partners with birth injury, delayed diagnosis and orthopaedic injury claims. In the personal injury department Hema assisted trade union members with a variety of claims including industrial disease, employers’ liability and road traffic accidents.
Hema works closely with other members of the Child Brain Injury Team with clinical negligence and personal injury cases. She has particular interest in cases arising from a delayed diagnosis and cases relating to birth injury.
In addition to her experience in cases involving negligence, Hema is an IPSEA-qualified special educational needs advisor and assists in representing children and young people with Special Educational Needs arising from or connected to brain injuries.
Hema has a kind and empathetic approach with her clients and their families. She understands the importance of therapies and rehabilitation for children with brain injuries and is motivated to ensure clients receive the earliest access to the support they need.
Hema studied Law and Professional Practice at Nottingham Trent University. She completed a year-long placement at a Claimant firm in London.
