Tamsin is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Child Brain Injury team, having joined the firm in 2020.

Tamsin has spent her professional career acting for clients who have been injured following an accident or through clinical negligence. She had gained considerable experience acting for individuals who have been injured as a result of a work or road traffic accident but in recent years has decided to specialise in child brain injuries, whether the result of an accident or negligent treatment whilst under the care of a GP or hospital.

Tamsin is passionate about securing compensation for children who have suffered injury as a result of negligence.

Recent example includes:

Acting for a child with cerebral palsy. English was not his mother’s first language and she did not realise her baby was not feeding which is crucial within the first 24 hours, nor was she able to convey her concerns to the midwifery team before she was discharged. As a result she did not realise he was not feeding which resulted in a brain injury. The case subsequently settled for a significant amount.

This case was the foundation for Tamsin’s decision to specialise and subsequently join the Child Brain Injury Team at BBK where she continues to act for children with cerebral palsy due to medical error.

Tamsin obtained a 2:1 degree with honours from Nottingham (Trent) University and then continued to pass the Law Society Final Examination at 1st sitting.
