Ellen joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in January 2024 as a Solicitor in the Personal Injury Claims team.
Prior to joining BBK, Ellen trained in a leading civil litigation firm in Dublin, specialising in Personal Injuries and Clinical Negligence. During this time, she worked exclusively on behalf of claimants, helping both adults and children suffered serious injuries as a result of the wrongdoing of others. Ellen assisted in representing her clients at High Court level in claims valued between €75,000 and €3 million.
Ellen’s experience spans across a variety of cases including amputations and orthopaedic injuries, and workplace injuries – particularly those in healthcare settings. She has also assisted families of those who have suffered fatal injuries in the workplace. In addition, Ellen has worked on multiple road traffic accidents including claims against the Motor Insurers’ Bureau where the driver responsible for the collision is either uninsured or untraced.
Ellen has also been involved in a number of clinical negligence matters against the Health Service Executive (HSE) in Ireland, namely birth injuries, audiological injuries, surgical negligence, dental negligence, and delayed diagnoses.
Throughout her career, Ellen has found her strength in creating strong connections with her clients based on a deep empathy. She translates this into her working relationships to secure the best outcomes for her clients and ensure their successful rehabilitation.
Ellen graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a 2:1 in 2018 before commencing her training with the Law Society of Ireland. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland in 2023 and the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales in 2024.
