Jonathan is a Senior Costs Lawyer in the in-house legal costs department. He joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in May 2018 as a Junior Costs Draftsperson, having previously gained experience at a leading costs firm.
His career in legal costs began in January 2013, where he worked with and gained costs experience for a number of nationwide solicitor firms, covering all aspects of personal injury. As such, Jonathan is able to tailor his work in order to meet the needs of a variety of clients.
Jonathan currently undertakes several tasks at BBK, including the preparation of Bills of Costs, Costs Budgets, Points of Reply and Applications of payments on account of costs. He also regularly advocates for BBK at Costs and Case Management Conferences and application hearings.
Jonathan endeavours to obtain the best possible recovery for the client by advising on the merits of the claim and possible pitfalls, in order to recommend the best course of action and strategy.
Jonathan completed the Association of Costs Lawyers course and subsequently qualified as a Costs Lawyer in January 2023.
