Sara joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in October 2023 as a Paralegal. Sara has joined Tom Jenkinson’s team and is responsible for preparing Bills of Costs, Applications for payments on account and Points of Reply.
After completing her law degree at the University of Surrey in June 2022, Sara began working as a Paralegal in the Banking Litigation department at a major national law firm. During this time, under the supervision of a Legal Director, she acted for Barclays Bank UK PLC, Santander and NatWest Group PLC in high value litigation cases, which introduced her to the exciting field of legal costs.
Alongside her studies at University of Surrey, Sara volunteered as a caseworker for survivors of domestic abuse. Sara assisted in making applications to the Court for a Non-Molestation Order, Occupation Order and drafting Witness Statements for survivors of domestic abuse. This experience improved her ability to communicate with vulnerable clients in difficult situations. After working for survivors of domestic abuse and major retail banks, Sara realised that her passion and strength is in working with clients who had experienced considerable challenges.
Sara’s prior experience as a Paralegal is helping her to provide excellent support to her team. She is keen to provide an excellent standard of service and a high degree of professionalism. She enjoys working as part of a like-minded team that are dedicated to their clients. She is also looking forward to volunteering with the range of charities that Bolt Burdon Kemp supports.
