Ella is a Solicitor in the Child Brain Injury team, having joined the firm in January 2024. Ella specialises in representing children who have sustained brain injury due to substandard medical treatment or accidents.

Ella completed her training contract at a Human Rights firm based in London, where she had previously been a paralegal. During her training contract, she assisted partners in the clinical negligence and personal injury team on complex and high-value claims where individuals had sustained catastrophic and life-changing injuries. Ella gained experience on cases involving brain injuries (to both adults and children), birth injuries, delayed diagnosis, psychiatric injury, severe orthopaedic injuries, and cases arising from fatal accidents.

Ella has a particular interest in cases where a child has sustained injury during or shortly after birth. Ella has gained experience acting for children who have sustained a hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy injury (including Cerebral Palsy), hypoglycaemic injury, and injuries arising from a delay in diagnosis, such as neonatal stroke.

Ella has also gained experience in Court of Protection matters; acting for vulnerable clients who did not have capacity to manage their finances after sustaining injury.

Ella is passionate about securing compensation for children who have sustained avoidable injury to ensure that despite their injury, her clients are able to have a good quality of life. Ella is driven by the substantial difference that compensation can make to both her client’s lives and their families. Ella recognises the importance of achieving an early admission of liability to ensure clients receive access to the rehabilitation and support they need at the earliest opportunity. Ella has an empathetic approach and actively supports families throughout the litigation process.

Ella graduated from Swansea University in 2019 having completed an undergraduate law degree, a master’s degree in law and the Legal Practice Course. As part of her master’s degree, Ella wrote a draft bill, reforming surrogacy arrangements in the UK. Ella was elected president of the Law Society in her penultimate year at university.
