Amy joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in May 2019 as a Junior Costs Draftsperson.
In May 2018 after completing her university degree, Amy began working as a paralegal. As a paralegal, Amy’s role was primarily centred in the litigation department of a boutique firm specialising in corporate, tax and private client matters. During Amy’s time as a paralegal she had conduct of high value litigation cases. This role helped Amy gain invaluable experience about the machinations of the litigation process, which in turn introduced her to the exciting prospect of specialising in the field of legal costs.
Amy graduated from Reading University with an LLB in July 2018. Whilst there Amy held the position of Social Secretary of the Law Society.
In January 2020 Amy commenced training with the ACL to become a qualified Costs Lawyer, which would allow her undertake the reserved legal activities of the exercise of a right of audience, the conduct of litigation and the administration of oaths.
Amy qualified as a Costs Lawyer on 11 January 2022 with a mark of Distinction overall.
