Ryan Harvey

Ryan joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in February 2018 as a paralegal in the Spinal Injuries team.  In this capacity he works for clients whose injuries have arisen from both medical negligence and personal injury.

Ryan completed a degree in Biology at the University of Bath in 2015.  He is currently undertaking the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP University on a part-time basis.

Before making the move into a career in law he gained several years of experience working in the healthcare industry.  This included working as a research assistant on a systematic review of Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease clinical trials and within the regulatory affairs team of one of the largest suppliers to the NHS.

This exposure of working in and around clinical environments provides him with a range of experiences from which he is able to draw from.  It was this experience, combined with a passion to work in a people-focussed sector of law, that lead him to persue a career at Bolt Burdon Kemp.

Since joining Bolt Burdon Kemp, Ryan has assisted Alex Dabek across a range of cases.  This work has involved investigating claims and assisting in the implementation and maintenance of care packages to help provide the best outcome for clients.

Outside of work Ryan volunteers at a legal advice clinic and for the Leasehold Advisory Service.  He particularly enjoys the opportunity this provides to help people on a range of legal and non-legal issues, as well as affording him the opportunity to assist the wider community.

  • Thank you again for all your help Danielle, for your professionalism and guidance, you have been a pillar of support, I don’t know how we could have got through this without you.

  • I am writing this e-mail to you to express my sincere thanks for the great support your organisation gave to us  during this long “journey”.  I would have to say both Josh and Ben have been wonderful with the support, understanding and communication over the period.  They faced the time difference challenges when we had to Skype at odd hours without any problems whatsoever.  An experience we will never forget. A big thank you to everyone at your organisation.

  • "Throughout the case, the whole team has been very kind, supportive and sympathetic and the professionalism that you all have shown towards us has given me the strength to carry on. Since the case was handed over to Jo Chapman, she has shown great professionalism and worked tirelessly to bring this case to a successful conclusion. When the first offer was made by the Trust, Jo was not satisfied and found another 'gear', strength and courage to continue fighting for my wife and what she believed she deserved. There are no words that can be used to thank Jo for the tremendous work she has done. She deserves 'five stars'."
