Milly joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in May 2026 as a paralegal in the Child Brain Injury team, working with Sally Simpson on a variety of high-value personal injury and clinical negligence claims. She has a particular interest in clinical negligence work, especially cases involving maternity care and birth injuries. Milly is passionate about advocating for improvements in maternity services and addressing the racial disparities that continue to exist in maternal healthcare. She is a conscientious and approachable member of the team who is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for clients and their families.
Alongside her legal experience, throughout the past ten years, Milly has volunteered with the Riding for the Disabled Association, working closely with children living with physical and neurological injuries. This experience has given her a strong understanding of the practical and emotional impact that brain injuries can have on both children and their families and continues to shape her empathetic and client-focused approach.
Before joining the firm, Milly completed her LLB Law degree at the University of Exeter and is due to graduate in July 2026. During her studies, she volunteered with CASS+ at the Exeter Crown & County Court, where she supported individuals navigating the court process and developed a strong appreciation for the importance of listening to and adapting to clients’ individual needs.
Milly also developed strong advocacy skills through participation in mooting throughout university, successfully representing Exeter Law School in multiple inter-varsity competitions. In addition, she served on the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion sub-committee of Exeter Law Society, where she helped promote greater representation and support for LGBTQ+ students.
