Imaan joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in February 2026 as a Paralegal in the Adult Brain Injury team. She assists Deepti Patel, Berivan Akay and Cillian Davis on claims for clients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, and frequently works on both clinical negligence and serious injury cases.
Prior to joining BBK, Imaan completed her undergraduate studies at LSE, graduating in July 2025 with an LLB in Law. Studying Medical Law at university sparked her interest in clinical negligence, complex injuries and the medico-legal ethics underpinning areas of law such as mental health and capacity.
Through her studies, Imaan has also volunteered at the Royal Society’s Summer Science Exhibition, engaging members of the public in activities and discussions surrounding legal regulation of medical research. Following these experiences, Imaan is motivated to bring both strong medico-legal knowledge and an empathetic approach to complex client work at BBK.
After interning at a leading global law firm in London, Imaan has gained strong research, written and advocacy skills that allow her to capably assist her team on a diverse range of legal tasks. Further, after mentoring sixth form students whilst at university, she has developed strong active listening skills which enable her to communicate sensitively with vulnerable clients.
Finally, Imaan is deeply committed to social outreach: her volunteering with students from socially mobile and refugee backgrounds has instilled in her a strong sense of empathy and justice, following which she is excited to engage with ABI’s charity partners such as Headway East London.
Imaan hopes to play a positive role in transforming the lives of clients who have suffered life-altering injuries, and help them secure the compensation they need to rebuild their lives.
