Jan joined Bolt Burdon Kemp as a Finance Administrator in April 2024 and works in the Cash Office team.
As a Finance Administrator, Jan has a varied role within the team. She is responsible for all aspects of claims against insurance funding policies, including checking the portal for new policies, maintaining internal spreadsheets and submitting portal, paper and billing-approved claims. She monitors the level of claims against cover and reports back to solicitors where increases are required. Jan assists with closing of matters, staff expenses, WIP write offs and allocations. She also helps with general cashiering within the team, ensuring the firm adheres to the Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures.
Prior to joining BBK, Jan gained extensive experience as a Legal Cashier for several other City Law firms, whose areas of practice specialised in property, commercial, criminal and employment law.
Jan has over 30 years’ experience of working in the legal sector and is very passionate about client service and meeting the demands of a very varied role.
