Dinya joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in November 2024 and works alongside Abbie Hickson as a Senior Solicitor in the Abuse Team.
Drawing on a deep understanding of legal processes and passion for justice, Dinya is passionate about empowering survivors of abuse, helping them to navigate the legal system and secure the compensation they deserve.
Dinya’s recent work has focused on addressing the need to strengthen safeguarding and governance arrangements for children in foster care. She has highlighted the importance of local councils having robust checks and balances in place to ensure that foster care placements are safe, appropriate, and consistently monitored.
Prior to joining BBK, Dinya spent five years at a London-based law firm, advocating for clients in complex legal matters. After many years of representing defendants in personal injury cases, Dinya transitioned to focus on supporting victims of abuse. Dinya’s experience on the defendant side has provided her with valuable insight into how compensators manage claims.
Dinya has actively contributed to organisations such as the Kurdish Women’s Organisation in Wales, which provides educational support and guidance to women within the Kurdish community. She is deeply passionate about helping others and has assisted many individuals in overcoming the challenges they face both professionally and personally.
Dinya prides herself in being compassionate and understanding. She strives to create a safe and comfortable space for clients to discuss difficult issues and provides advice in a manner that is approachable and not overwhelming.
