Hareena began her journey into law in 2016 when she studied law at the University of Chester. After completing her undergraduate degree, she studied the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, Bloomsbury Campus, where she also worked part-time alongside the course at a GP surgery. As part of the LPC Hareena studied modules such as Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence.
Hareena’s undergraduate degree and the LPC have helped immensely in Hareena’s career in costs, where the legal knowledge provided a strong foundation in understanding the cases and ascertaining the nature of the same. Hareena has been able to use her knowledge of costs and law to prepare Bills and budgets to a high standard.
Following completion of the LPC, Hareena began working in costs as a trainee costs draftsman at a small costs drafting firm where her role was to prepare Bills of Costs and handle negotiations. Soon after, Hareena was able to progress into preparing cases of a higher value, where she learnt how to draft electronic Bills of Costs and budgets.
Hareena qualified as a Costs Lawyer in November 2023, after passing the ACL course with a distinction.
The ACL course helped her gain significant knowledge and detail about further areas outside of her normal practice which provided great benefit when taking on new cases in wider areas. The ACL course also assisted in providing a better service to Hareena’s clients as she was able to prepare in-depth advises on technical issues as well as costs recoverability.
After qualifying as a Costs Lawyer, Hareena continued to develop her legal expertise and broaden her professional qualifications. She went on to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive in June 2024.
Building on this foundation, Hareena successfully completed the Professional Skills Course and was admitted as a Solicitor in September 2025. Her progression reflects a strong commitment to professional development and a dedication to providing clients with comprehensive and high-quality legal services.
