COVID-19 – A message to all our clients
At Bolt Burdon Kemp, we are completely committed to doing our best to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus and to this end we are closely following and monitoring Government advice. Please be re-assured that although we have all experienced many changes in our day to day lives and will continue to do so in the months ahead, we will continue to progress your case and support you as best we can.
We remain passionate about achieving life-changing results for our clients, providing excellent client care and ensuring you receive the support you need. Current advice (as of 5 November 2020) is that everyone who can work from home must do so. We are very well placed to comply with the current policy. Since we first introduced our flexible working policy back in 2003, our solicitors have been able to work both from home and remotely. All members of staff are equipped with laptops and iPhones and are supported by an IT team which is second to none.
Our office remains open for those who cannot effectively work from home. Since we took the step of reopening our office, we have implemented policies to ensure compliance with government guidelines, limiting the number of staff we can accommodate to ensure social distancing and most communications continue to come to us by email.
Our strategy of working in teams continues to ensure there is always someone for you to talk to and to continue to progress your case, in the event that any member of your legal team falls ill.
We are seeing more and more, through the small changes introduced since lockdown began, how our methods of working are now the norm. We continue to progress our clients’ cases whilst observing Government advice and ensuring both you, your loved ones and our people are kept safe. In the absence of regular face to face meetings, visits and conferences, our people have been picking up the telephone more and have been using Facetime, Skype and video-conferencing effectively, our platform of choice being Zoom. Indeed, we are delighted to report that since the outbreak, a number of cases in the firm have settled at joint settlement meetings conducted by our solicitors remotely. We are determined more than ever that the wheels of justice will keep on turning.
