What to do if you’re unhappy about the care you or a loved one has received?

Have you or a loved one ever felt the need to file a complaint against your medical services provider, but didn’t know where to go? Whether it is a hospital you have received poor treatment from or a GP who just didn’t listen to your needs, the Patients Association can help.

In this video Josh Hughes and Chris James, both part of the Medical Negligence team at BBK, joined Rachel Power, CEO of the Patients Association, to present a webinar on: What to do if you’re unhappy about care you or a loved one has received?

The webinar took attendees through the duty of candour, which is the legal requirement to be open and transparent with medical service users, how the patients complaints process is protected by the NHS Constitution and what to do, and who to speak to, if you or someone else has received care and are not happy with it.

As well as the topics above, Chris and Josh also discussed what happens when you make a complaint, the difference between a service complaint and negligence and busted some myths around the patients complaint process and the relationship that has with a claim in negligence.
