Stephanie joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in September 2022 as a paralegal, assisting Laura Robertson-Hayes in the Child Brain Injury team. Stephanie aspires to become a solicitor in the medical negligence profession in the future, after completing her SQE.

Stephanie studied Medical Sciences at the University of Exeter, where she researched a broad range of diseases and injuries. Stephanie believes that this scientific background will enable her to understand the complex medical history of each client, and allows her to approach each case from an understanding and empathetic perspective. Upon graduating with a 1st class degree, Stephanie continued her studies at the University of Law (Exeter), where she completed the Graduate Diploma in Law. Stephanie was particularly interested in the role that the law plays in a healthcare setting, and chose to focus her dissertation on the laws regulating organ donation in England and Wales.

Prior to commencing her studies at University, Stephanie had always strived to pursue a career in medical negligence law. Stephanie has always had a strong interest in the sciences and medicine, and hoped that medical negligence would allow her to combine her interest in science with her passion for the law.

Alongside her A Level studies, Stephanie volunteered at a local school, helping disadvantaged children develop their reading skills. In addition, from 2015, Stephanie worked part-time at a Boots pharmacy, where she spent time helping and advising parents and children on their healthcare needs. Stephanie experienced first-hand the importance of good healthcare and customer care.

It was these experiences that encouraged Stephanie to pursue a career in law where she could help people improve their lives and ensure they receive the help and support they need.
