Bolt Burdon Kemp welcomes five new partners

Leading serious injury firm Bolt Burdon Kemp has promoted five to its partnership – Jack Ridgway in the firm’s Costs team, Accounts Manager Louisa Pounder, Head of HR Louise Pye and lawyers Sally Simpson from the firm’s Brain Injury team and Hannah Swarbrick from the Military team.

This means the firm’s now 26-strong partnership consists of 18 women, 69 per cent. Overall, Bolt Burdon Kemp’s total headcount of 155 is 79 per cent female.

Commenting on the latest round of promotions, Bolt Burdon Kemp’s Managing Partner Jonathan Wheeler said:

“Our latest promotions certainly strengthen our partnership and I – and all the other partners – will welcome their perspectives. We are lucky to have them.

“According to the latest SRA figures, 37 per cent of law firm partners are women and I think our partnership of 69 per cent is testament to our long-term commitment to creating a truly supportive and flexible workplace. We understand there’s no universal solution when it comes to flexible working and since 2003, we have let our people work where and when suits them. True flexibility isn’t just about ticking a box; it’s about valuing people as individuals. And of course, it’s not just about flexible working, but creating a culture and workplace environment which supports and encourages our people to thrive. We are thrilled to grow our partnership with such talented individuals.”
