Rhiannon is a Senior Associate in the Spinal Injury team.  She specialises in acting for people who have sustained a Spinal Cord Injury as a result of accidents or medical errors.

She is referred to in the Legal 500 2024  as a ‘very capable, no-nonsense lawyer who works with dynamism and energy. She balances this really well with empathy for her clients and gets great results for them.’ and in Chambers and Partners 2024 as ‘very direct and empathetic. Rhiannon is a very capable and collaborative to work with and thinks about her cases before asking questions.’

Rhiannon has extensive experience in spinal injuries.  She has had a varied caseload of spinal injuries arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work, public liability and complex clinical negligence claims involving spinal surgery and missed/delayed diagnosis of Cauda Equina Syndrome.  Rhiannon has also acted for clients who lack capacity, children and clients who have been repatriated as a result of their injuries.

She has achieved substantial settlements for her clients with care packages that will support them in their daily lives now and in the future, providing peace of mind for them and their families.  She has achieved spinal injury settlements of £5m in relation to an accident at work after a client fell through a ceiling void and £1.3m for a client who underwent an operation without proper consent.

Rhiannon is passionate about her work and committed to working closely with her clients, advising and supporting them throughout the litigation process.  She fights hard to obtain early admissions of liability to secure her clients access to interim damages to help fund immediate needs.  She has a proven track record of achieving high value settlements and prides herself on delivering excellent client satisfaction.

In addition to her expertise in cases involving negligence, Rhiannon is a Level 1 IPSEA-qualified special educational needs advisor.  This allows her to work closely with the families and schools of her child clients, to ensure their complex needs can be met – giving her clients the best chance to thrive after their injury.

Rhiannon volunteers at Horatio’s Garden, Stanmore. She has organised various charity events and in particular works closely with the Spinal Injuries Association. Both charities services and support are invaluable to people who have sustained spinal injuries.

Rhiannon is a co-editor of the Spinal Section in Kemp & Kemp, Personal Injury Practice and Procedure.
