Amy is a Senior Costs Lawyer in the in-house legal costs team.

Amy joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in May 2019 as a Junior Costs Draftsperson.

After completing her law degree at the University of Reading in May 2018, Amy began working as a paralegal in the litigation department of a boutique London firm specialising in corporate, tax and private client matters. During this time she had conduct of high value litigation cases, which introduced her to the exciting field of legal costs.

Amy commenced training with the Association of Costs Lawyers (ACL) in January 2020 to become a qualified Costs Lawyer, which would allow her to undertake reserved legal activities including the exercise of a right of audience, conduct of costs litigation and the administration of oaths. Amy was admitted as a Costs Lawyer on 11 January 2022, obtaining a mark of Distinction.

Amy is proficient at drafting all costs documents, including Bills of Costs, budgets and Points of Reply. Amy strives to ensure her technical knowledge is up to date in the changing landscape of legal costs, making her well-placed to advise clients on all aspects of costs recovery. Amy also regularly undertakes advocacy at the Royal Courts of Justice, including CCMCs and summary assessments.

Amy has been a member of the ACL since qualifying as a Costs Lawyer, and was recently elected as a Council Member in November 2022.
