Witness appeal – abuse by John T. Hughes, teacher from Kent

I represent a client in respect of sexual and emotional abuse they suffered at the hands of Mr John T. Hughes in the early 1970s. Mr Hughes was an English teacher at the Wildernesse School in Sevenoaks, Kent – my client was a pupil there.

Mr Hughes sexually assaulted my client on several occasions when was asked by Mr Hughes to stay behind after his class.

Mr Hughes was prosecuted in relation to sexually assaulting my client and other children at the school and he was sentenced in October 1974.

The abuse had a profound effect on my client, who is now seeking justice and closure for their trauma.

It is our understanding that Mr Hughes passed away some years ago.

I am appealing for witnesses on behalf of my client who may be able to assist with our investigations.

If you have any information that might assist my client in their pursuit for justice, please contact me by email: marekmarczynski@bbkllp.co.uk or telephone: 07551 296379.
