Sergeant Joseph Palmer of Thames Valley Wing Air Cadets jailed for 28 months

Joseph Palmer, a Sergeant in the Air Cadets (Thames Valley Wing) was sentenced to 28 months imprisonment in December 2020 for inciting children to send him indecent images and sending them indecent images and videos of himself.

Whilst Palmer had admitted three charges laid before him, there were a total of 13 charges made against him.  Judge Nigel Daly at Oxfordshire Crown Court sentenced Palmer, who is in his early 20’s, and heard that Palmer had no previous convictions.

Palmer was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register and obey a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for a total of 10 years.
