Neil Borgeat, 4th Boxmoor Cub Scout Leader & Emerald Vale Football Coach, Jailed for Sexual Abuse

Former cub scout leader at the 4th Boxmoor Cub Scout troop and coach at Emerald Vale football club has been jailed for 42 months at St Albans’ Crown Court.

Three men came forward to report abuse suffered between 1982 and 1990 at the hands of Borgeat. Borgeat used his position of trust within the cub scouts and at the football club to sexually abuse children.

Borgeat pleaded guilty to 3 charges of indecent assault and 2 charges of gross indecency with or towards a child. He was also forced to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
