London Police officer charged with possession of indecent images

According to media reports, PC Darren Hourigan, a London Metropolitan Police officer will appear today at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court. He was charged in September 2022 with possession of indecent images of children.

PC Hourigan was initially arrested in March 2020 in relation to the allegations. He was later released pending investigation, but was suspended from his police duties before being charged.

The full details of the charging decision are not currently public and it is not publically known how DC Hourigan came into possession of the indecent images of children.
