Day was convicted in 2009 for 20 sexual offences against young boys between 1973 and 1995. He had launched a charity in Hemsby, Norfolk called the Young Citizens Guild in the 1950s. The abuse happened on summer camps organised via the Young Citizens Guild. Day was jailed or 13 years.

On Monday, Day admitted a further 7 offences against four victims aged under 16 between 1969 and 1986 and was sentenced to a further three years in prison.
