Bolt Burdon Kemp’s first Solicitor Advocate
I am delighted to announce that I have been awarded Higher Rights of Audience by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, becoming Bolt Burdon Kemp’s first Solicitor Advocate.
All solicitors are entitled to appear in the Magistrates Court and County Court, however only Solicitor Advocates and Barristers are entitled to appear in the higher courts.
As a child abuse compensation lawyer, the nature, complexity and value of the cases I deal with means that they are ordinarily issued in the High Court at the Royal Courts of Justice. I firmly believe that in many cases, the best placed lawyer to represent a client at trial is the person that has dealt with the case on a day to day basis and knows the client’s case inside out.
In January 2012 I undertook the Solicitor Regulation Authority’s training and assessment programme and I have now been awarded Higher Rights of Audience meaning that I can now appear in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court on behalf of my clients.
I am now looking forward to representing my clients at every stage of their cases, from the very first telephone call through to the final trial. I hope that my clients will benefit from having direct contact with the lawyer who will represent him at trial and by being represented by the lawyer with the greatest knowledge of their case.
