Witness Appeal: Abuse by Herts teacher Anthony Shenton at Langleybury School

I represent clients who have instructed me to bring claims against the local authority for the sexual abuse they suffered by Langleybury School teacher Anthony Shenton in the 1970s and 1980s.

Shenton abused pupils from the late 1960s to the 1980s at Langleybury School, at various locations including on the grounds of the school and at after school clubs, as well as on school trips involving canoeing and skiing. In 2021, Shenton was convicted and sentenced to 15 years in prison at St Albans Crown Court.

I am appealing for witnesses on behalf of my clients who may be able to assist with our investigations. It is also possible there are more victims who have not yet felt able to come forward and speak about their abuse. If you were a pupil at Langleybury School, or if you, or someone you know, has any information in relation to Anthony Shenton that may assist my client with their pursuit of justice, please contact me directly by email: elisecarnot@bbkllp.co.uk. Alternatively, you can call or text me on 07778 472782.
