Matthew is a Paralegal in the Spinal Injury team at Bolt Burdon Kemp.
Matthew supports Charlotte Jose on a range of clinical negligence and personal injury claims.
Matthew is involved in supporting clients who have specifically complex and high value spinal injury claims. He previously volunteered at The Baroness Hale Legal Clinic during his final year university studies providing free legal advice to local residents and University of York staff. This grew his motivation to not only positively impact his clients, but also those around them and his local community.
Matthew is passionate about providing guidance and support to those who have experienced spinal injuries as a result of medical negligence. He prides himself on being approachable and empathetic, providing support to those who are often at the most vulnerable point in their lives.
He has a particular interest in claims involving Cauda Equina Syndrome (also known as CES). He hopes to raise awareness about the condition.
He has raised money for a variety of charities, including The British Heart Foundation and Movember – a men’s mental health charity which encourages men of all ages to speak out and break dangerous stigma surrounding men’s emotions.
Matthew is also a member of the Society of Asian Lawyers, a professional body responsible for developing and promoting the Asian legal community, as well as supporting equality of opportunity within the legal field and judiciary.
