Deepti is a highly experienced Associate Solicitor at Bolt Burdon Kemp, specialising in adult brain injury claims arising from personal injury and clinical negligence. Since joining the firm in 2018, she has built a strong reputation for securing high-value compensation for clients with serious brain injuries. Deepti leads a dedicated team of junior solicitors and paralegals, ensuring expert legal support at every stage of the claims process.

Recognised as a Key Lawyer in the Legal 500, Deepti has extensive experience handling complex brain injury cases, including:

  • Misdiagnosis and negligent treatment of brain tumours
  • Delayed diagnosis of encephalitis, stroke, and ruptured aneurysms
  • Serious road traffic accidents, including cross-border claims
  • Workplace accidents resulting in traumatic brain injury

She has a particular interest in claims involving delayed diagnosis of non-cancerous brain tumours, and is passionate about helping clients access rehabilitation, long-term care, and financial security.

Notable Brain Injury Settlements

Deepti has secured substantial settlements for clients affected by brain injury, including:

  • £1.3 million for delayed diagnosis of a non-cancerous glomus tumour, funding private care, rehabilitation, and lifetime loss of earnings
  • £850,000 for permanent brain damage caused by delayed diagnosis and treatment of HSV-1 encephalitis
  • £680,000 for a workplace brain injury caused by a falling object, enabling bespoke support and private treatment in a rural area
  • £130,000 for a client injured at work

She has also contributed to landmark cases such as:

  • £4.8 million plus annual payments for failure to diagnose and treat tuberculosis meningitis
  • £1.25 million for a widow whose husband was neglected by mental health services
  • £675,000 for a client who underwent an unnecessary ERCP procedure, resulting in lifelong pain and loss of amenity

Deepti’s approach is rooted in empathy and advocacy. She works closely with brain injury survivors and their families, securing early admissions of liability and interim payments to fund urgent care needs. Her clients often require intensive treatment, and she is committed to guiding them through the litigation process with compassion and clarity.

Raising Awareness and Supporting the Brain Injury Community

Deepti actively supports brain tumour charities, records podcasts with leading brain injury activists, and writes blogs to raise awareness of neurological conditions and legal rights. She stays informed on medical research and advancements in brain injury treatment.

She regularly volunteers with Headway Milton Keynes, a brain injury charity sponsored by Bolt Burdon Kemp. Deepti helps members participate in group learning sessions and is featured on the charity’s website.

Deepti completed her Law degree at Keele University in 2012 and her LPC at the University of Law in Birmingham. She volunteered with Victim Support for several years, assisting vulnerable witnesses and victims of crime. Before qualifying as a solicitor, she worked as a paralegal and trainee solicitor at a leading claimant law firm in London, investigating catastrophic personal injury claims.
