Witness appeal- Abuse by Richard “Doc” Collin, former teacher at Cranleigh School, Surrey
Bolt Burdon Kemp is appealing for information about Richard Collin, a former teacher at Cranleigh School in Surrey. Pupils may have known him by the name Doc Collin.
I represent a client who has instructed me to bring a claim against the school for sexual abuse he suffered by Collin in the 1980s.
In 2015 Collin was charged with possessing indecent images of children and he pleaded guilty in 2017. Collin was sentenced to five months’ imprisonment suspended for two years.
I am appealing for witnesses on behalf of my client who may be able to assist with our investigation. It is also possible there are more victims who have not yet felt able to come forward and speak about their abuse.
If you were a pupil at Cranleigh School or if you or someone you know have any information in relation to Richard Collin that may assist my client with their pursuit of justice, please contact me directly by email: juliajensen@bbkllp.co.uk or by telephone 020 7288 4875.
