Witness appeal: Abuse by Scouts Master Alan Fitzpatrick in Croydon in the early 1990s
I am Emma Barrow, a solicitor with Bolt Burdon Kemp, and I am appealing for information about convicted paedophile Scout Master Alan Fitzpatrick who abused scouts in the 1990’s.
I represent a client who was sexually abused by Fitzpatrick when he was a member of the 4th Purley 1st Coulsdon Scout Group, which held meetings at Richmond Hall in Coulsdon, London. Fitzpatrick was investigated for abusing my client and two other boys in 1992 and was convicted that same year of sexual offences in Croydon Crown Court.
I am appealing for witnesses who may be able to assist with our investigations. It is possible there are more survivors who have not yet felt able to come forward and speak about their abuse. Others may have vital information about Fitzpatrick that could help our client’s claim.
If you were a member of 4th Purley 1st Coulsdon Scout Group in the early 1990’s, or if you or someone you know has any information about Alan Fitzpatrick that may assist my client, please contact me directly by email: emmabarrow@bbkllp.co.uk. Alternatively, you can call me on 020 8049 8050.
