Bolt Burdon Kemp ranked in legal directories again
It’s been quite a week with both The Legal 500 UK and Chambers and Partners announcing their results for 2019’s legal directory listings.
Here at Bolt Burdon Kemp we are immensely proud of our teams being ranked once again for their work on behalf of Claimants in the arenas of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury.
Top of clinical negligence rankings
The Legal 500 ranked our Clinical Negligence teams at Tier 1 – the highest category. They said of us that we are:
“’excellent in terms of service delivery and knowledge’ and ‘undertakes good quality work in a professional manner and with a good degree of efficiency’”
Legal 500 2019
They gave specific mention to Caroline Klage, head of our child brain injury team – ‘incredibly responsive’, Raquel Siganporia, head of our spinal injury team – “’tenacious, but utterly charming’ and has ‘incredible insights into the more difficult spinal cases’”, and Suzanne Trask, head of our adult brain injury team – “’very knowledgeable’ and ‘tough and uncompromising in seeking the best for her clients‘”
Chambers and Partners ranked our Clinical Negligence work at Tier 3. They said of our firm that we are known for our:
Skilled team of solicitors advising clients on a wide range of clinical negligence matters. Offers expertise in claims involving serious brain injuries, amputations and spinal injuries. Advises clients who have suffered injury due to surgical and obstetric negligence as well as through delays in diagnosis or treatment. Also possesses a strong practice advising on instances of clinical negligence which lead to the loss of military careers.
Chambers and Partners, 2019
In addition, both Caroline Klage and Raquel Siganporia were listed this year as notable practitioners in the field of clinical negligence:
‘Caroline Klage is the head of the firm’s child brain injury department. She has considerable experience in acting on behalf of mothers and children in relation to injuries sustained during birth, particularly brain damage and cerebral palsy cases.’
This is Raquel’s first year being ranked as a notable practitioner:
‘Raquel Siganporia is highly regarded for her extensive knowledge and experience in clinical negligence matters, specifically in cases involving brain and spinal cord injuries. Market commentators say: “She empathises very well with clients and has a very good manner.”’
Personal injury rankings – tiers 2 and 3
The Legal 500 ranked our Personal Injury teams at Tier 2 again, in line with our performance last year. They said:
“The ‘outstanding‘ Bolt Burdon Kemp has ‘strong expertise’ in complex, higher-value cases including brain and spinal injury, military and child abuse claims. The team is also highlighted for ‘going the extra mile’ for clients and being ‘brilliant on costs’.
Legal 500 2019
The praise for our hardworking Costs Team is very well deserved. Their work, after we have agreed compensation for our clients, ensures that our clients receive their damages as quickly as possible and they have often taken steps to change the landscape of costs litigation.
They also made specific mention of the partners in our Military Claims team – Rhicha Kapila, who is ‘a great fighter‘ and ‘all-round good lawyer‘, and Ahmed Al-Nahhas, who is ‘determined, thoughtful and excellent with clients‘ and ‘has a superb eye for tactics‘.
Chambers and Partners ranked our Personal Injury work at Tier 3. Sources they spoke to said of our firm that:
“They always turn over every stone they can to see what they can uncover for a client, and they push hard to get the best possible settlement” and “they have a really good bunch of lawyers” who “have great common sense and work very hard for their clients.”
