Witness Appeal: Abuse by teacher Martyn Cook at Cumnor House Boys’ School

Bolt Burdon Kemp is appealing for information regarding alleged sexual abuse occurring at Cumnor House Boys’ School in South Croydon, in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

I represent a client who has instructed me to bring a claim against the school for sexual abuse he suffered.

Martyn Cook was a teacher and former sports coach at Cumnor House Boys’ School. He was also a Crystal Palace Football Club youth coach. In 1997, Cook was convicted of serious sexual assaults against two young boys and indecently assaulting another six.

I am appealing for witnesses who may be able to assist with our investigations.

It is also possible there are more victims who have not yet felt able to come forward and speak about their abuse.

If you, or someone you know, has any information in relation to Martyn Cook that may assist my client with their pursuit of justice, please contact me directly by email charlottewailes@bbkllp.co.uk or by mobile 07721 927894.

Bolt Burdon Kemp LLP is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (No. 816764). Registered office: 26 Newbury Street, London EC1A 7HU.
