Our client’s story – how our Military team supported Liv’s family through the inquest process

The inquest into the death of Olivia Perks (Liv) concluded in May 2023. At the time of her death, Liv was training as an Officer Cadet at Sandhurst and was well‑liked, respected, and deeply valued by her peers. Tragically, she took her own life on 6 February 2019 at just 21 years old.

Bolt Burdon Kemp’s military claims team, led by Ahmed Al-Nahhas and Victoria Sedgwick, had the privilege of supporting Liv’s maternal family throughout the inquest process, helping them navigate the complex military justice system and fight for answers.

In this video, Liv’s mother, Louise, and her stepfather, Nigel, share Liv’s story, their experience of the inquest, and their ongoing pursuit of justice – with Bolt Burdon Kemp’s specialist military claims team by their side.
