Headway / Spinal Injuries Association Conference 2013
Yesterday I attended the Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Conference 2013 in Birmingham, which was a training day for individuals working with people who have suffered catastrophic injuries such as acquired brain injury and / or spinal injuries. This was a joint conference organised by Headway – the brain injury association, and the Spinal Injuries Association.
On the day there were a variety of fantastic speakers ranging from service users, specialist lawyers, rehabilitation experts, independent financial advisers, case managers and vocational specialists.
As a personal injury solicitor working with cases involving people who have suffered these types of catastrophic injuries I found the training to be very interesting and informative, and was also relevant to the type of work that I specialise in.
