Headteacher Neil Foden accused of sexual abuse
Neil Foden, who was the headteacher at Ysgol Friars in Bangor and strategic head of Ysgol Dyffryn Nantlle in Penygroes, Gwynedd, stands criminal trial for allegedly sexually abusing five female pupils. His criminal trial is currently ongoing at Mold Crown Court in Wales.
Foden was charged with 20 counts, including 13 charges of sexual activity with a child. He denies the allegations.
During the criminal trial it emerged that already in 2019, Foden was investigated by the local authority about his allegedly inappropriate behaviour with a teenage girl. At that point, no further action was taken against Foden.
While a criminal trial is still ongoing, it is important for the survivors to know that in addition to obtaining justice in the criminal process, they may be entitled to financial compensation for the harm they suffered. Bolt Burdon Kemp is committed to supporting survivors in their compensation claims.
