Former Lancing College teacher Nick Baldock charged with sexual assault
A former private school teacher has been charged with child sexual offences.
Nick Baldock, 46, is accused of offences against six pupils of Lancing College in West Sussex. Charges include one count of sexual assault, two counts of publishing an obscene article and three counts of knowingly disclosing personal data without consent.
In addition he has been charged with three further counts of making an indecent photograph of a child that do not relate to pupils at the college.
The alleged offences took place relatively recently, between August 2021 and December 2022, which is when Baldock was first arrested. Baldock is no longer employed at the college, which is a co-educational boarding and day school for children aged 13 to 18.
This news will be concerning to anyone involved with Lancing College but at this stage, my thoughts are with those brave enough to come forward to share their experiences.
I know from my clients’ experiences in similar situations that the criminal process itself can be a difficult and emotional process. I hope the complainants in this investigation have the support – both personal and professional – to help them in their search for justice.
