Back Up Ball 2023 – A Fairytale in Birmingham

Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood and a fairy walk into a bar… no this isn’t the start of a joke, it’s the BBK team at the Back Up Ball.

Every year spinal cord injury charity Back Up Trust holds its annual ball, with fun – and a fancy dress theme – very much at its heart.

As champions of the Back Up Trust, we enthusiastically embraced the fairytale fancy dress theme to join more than 300 Back Up supporters, service users and volunteers at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole to celebrate everything the charity has achieved this year.

Bolt Burdon Kemp is very proud to sponsor the Back Up Youth Advisory Group (YAG) which offers children and young people an opportunity to be involved in decision making about Back Up’s services for children and young people. We were delighted to host several YAG members at the ball and hear about the hugely positive impact the YAG has had.

One of the highlights of the evening is the Back Up Awards and BBK was proud to sponsor the award for ‘Inspirational spinal cord injury individual’.

The evening was a huge success with good food, good company and much dancing! We can’t wait for Back Up Ball 2024!!!
