Thomas is a Partner and Head of the Bullying and Harassment team at Bolt Burdon Kemp having joined the firm in March 2018.
Thomas qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and has previously held a role as Partner in Bolt Burdon Kemp’s Abuse Team, where he specialised in representing survivors of abuse.
In his current position, Thomas is dedicated to representing individuals who have suffered physical or psychiatric harm due to workplace harassment or bullying. In this role, Thomas specialises in bringing claims against employers in order to help protect peoples’ rights and remove barriers that prevent people from reaching their full potential.
Recently, Thomas acted in a groundbreaking case before the Supreme Court of England and Wales: Trustees of the Barry Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses v BXB [2023]. This case involved issues of harassment, abuse of power, and sexual assault against a woman, and it serves as a significant precedent in defining the boundaries of vicarious liability.
Thomas is extremely passionate about his work and committed to getting the best possible results for his clients. Thomas believes excellent client care is paramount, approaching every case with the sensitivity and the understanding required. Thomas is a strong litigator and fights to obtain the maximum damages for all of his clients as well as ensuring that they have the support needed throughout the entire litigation process.
He is a dedicated member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the Employment Lawyers Association.
