Celebrating hope at The Silverlining Brain Injury Charity music extravaganza

Silverlining was set up 20 years ago in a small room in Harley Street. Since then, it has grown into a national charity with groups all over the country, helping hundreds of people with brain injuries. BBK’s Adult Brain Injury Team were honoured to be invited to the charity’s second music extravaganza to experience the vibrant atmosphere the group creates.

The night, held on Wednesday 11 February, was alive with rhythm, heart, and purpose, and brought together supporters, musicians and survivors in celebration of resilience, community and the healing power of music.

Part of the charity’s 20th anniversary celebrations, the event took place in the beautiful surrounds of the Grocers’ Hall in central London. It showcased inspiring performances by members of the charity’s own music therapy groups alongside guest artists. Songs ranged from energetic covers to deeply personal original pieces, reflecting the emotional journeys of those living with acquired brain injury.

More than just a concert, the extravaganza was a joyful testament to what happens when passion meets purpose. We enjoyed not only great music but also an uplifting sense of shared experience — with friends, family and allies all united in support of a cause close to their hearts. Funds raised will help expand the charity’s community activities, from creative workshops to social support programmes that help survivors and their loved ones reconnect, heal and thrive.

It was a fantastic night for all. Whether you were tapping your feet in the audience or feeling moved by the stories behind the songs, the music extravaganza was a memorable celebration of hope, proving once again that when a community comes together, there truly is a silver lining.
