Part of the Brain Injury Team
Deepti is a solicitor specialising in adult brain injury claims. She joined Bolt Burdon Kemp as a newly qualified solicitor in March 2018 and is assisting Tom Lax, who is a Senior Solicitor in the team.
Deepti is passionate about helping our clients to achieve the outcome that they are looking for to help them continue with their lives after a serious injury.
Before joining Bolt Burdon Kemp, Deepti began her legal career in 2013 as a paralegal. She assisted on a range of challenging personal injury cases involving serious injuries as a result of road traffic incidents and accidents at work, before moving to a London firm and taking on a caseload of her own personal injury cases. Deepti also assisted with adult and child brain injury cases, some of which included multi-million pound claims where the clients required significant treatment and care. She also gained experience with fatal accident claims and psychiatric claims.
Once Deepti moved onto her training contract in September 2016, she gained experience in several areas including clinical negligence and worked with clients that had suffered serious orthopaedic injuries, urological conditions and birth injury defects. She was also involved in a large group action against a well known breast-care surgeon that was widely covered in the national press. During her time as a trainee, Deepti was also asked to attend inquests and court hearings.
Having completed her Law degree at Keele University in 2012, Deepti went on to study for her LPC at the University of Law in Birmingham. She also volunteered for Victim Support for many years and was involved in providing support for vulnerable witnesses and victims of crime whilst they went through the court process. Deepti very much enjoys volunteering for charities and getting involved with fundraising for a variety of causes.
