Susan joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in May 2021 as a Compliance Administration Assistant working alongside Amanda Garner, Partner & Compliance Manager. Susan and Amanda work together to ensure compliance is met across the firm by complying with internal and external policies.
Susan achieves this by regularly filing audits, dealing with file requests, ensuring the firms database systems are up to date and maintaining the firm’s register of council, expert witnesses and service providers. Essentially, Susan’s role is to eliminate any risk which would disrupt the smooth running of business.
Susan is passionate about quality assurance and receives satisfaction when due diligence takes place and is completed to the highest standard. Not only does this mean that solicitors are able to do their job to the best of their ability, but it also means that clients can achieve the best result.
Before joining Bolt Burdon Kemp, Susan worked for the accreditations department at The Law Society, where she was responsible for handling applications across multiple schemes including Lexcel which Bolt Burdon Kemp are accredited by. Susan also took part in project work, where she helped to re-model workflow processes and has been scouted to take part in the roll out of a risk and compliance based accreditation scheme.
Susan is keen to make a difference at Bolt Burdon Kemp and bring forth her experience and values which are aligned with the firm. Susan has a strong desire to promote an ethical way of working and maintain integrity so the firm can achieve the best results for clients and exceed their expectations.
