Ryan is a Trainee Solicitor at Bolt Burdon Kemp, having commenced his training contract on 1st October 2020.  Ryan’s first seat will be in the Military team, assisting seriously injured service personnel to secure compensation for their injuries.  He will be assisting on claims where injury has arisen through either personal injury and/or medical negligence.  He will also be assisting on cases involving harassment.

Ryan first joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in February 2018 as a Paralegal in the Spinal Injury team.  In his time in the Spinal Injury team, he gained experience investigating and litigating high-value claims involving spinal cord injury, brain injury, chronic pain, fatal accidents, and orthopaedic injuries.  This included working on cases involving those who lacked capacity.  He enjoyed working to secure early admissions of liability for seriously injured clients in order for them to start to engage their rehabilitation and care packages and to access the treatments they require.

He is passionate about helping those who have suffered significant injury secure justice and compensation for their injuries.  He is particularly interested in claims involving complex medical issues.  He takes pride in being approachable and taking a personable and pragmatic approach to his work.

Prior to embarking in a career in law, Ryan obtained degree in Biology from the University of Bath.  He spent several years working in medical research and in the healthcare industry.  He likes to utilise his scientific background to help understand technical and complicated medical issues in order to help secure the best outcome for clients.
