Rebecca is a Solicitor in the Adult Brain Injury team, having joined in March 2024. She works alongside Associate, Deepti Patel, representing individuals who have sustained brain injuries arising from substandard medical treatment or accidents.

Prior to joining BBK, Rebecca trained at a leading social justice law firm, during which time she exclusively represented clients who had been injured or mistreated. Rebecca assisted on a range of high-value clinical negligence and personal injury cases including brain injury claims. A highlight was helping to secure a £20 million settlement for the firefighters who attended the Grenfell Tower Fire, many of whom suffered from severe psychiatric injuries.

Rebecca also worked at a top-tier litigation firm where she gained experience in dealing with brain injury and spinal injury claims. Whilst there, she helped to obtain £3.75 million for a client who had been left wheelchair-bound due to a delayed diagnosis of a spinal abscess.

Throughout her legal career, Rebecca has always put clients first. She understands that no two people or brain injuries are the same and, for this reason, ensures that she delivers a personalised service to each client. Whilst her approach is calm and empathetic, she is not afraid to stand up for her clients to ensure that their needs are met.

Rebecca studied psychology at the University of Leeds, achieving a first-class honours degree and an academic prize for her final year project focusing on the neural basis of addiction. She subsequently completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP University.

With a background in psychology, Rebecca has a particular interest in the neuropsychological aspect of brain injuries and is passionate about ensuring clients have access to appropriate psychological therapies that help them to cope with the emotional challenges of living with a brain injury.
