Nadine joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in May 2021 as a Costs Paralegal. Her day to day role involves drafting Bills of Costs, liaising with external companies, courts and solicitors as well as filing, serving and preparing bundles and generally supporting the costs team to maximise the recovery of fees and disbursements.
Nadine studied Law at the University of Bristol, graduating her LLB degree with a First Class Honours. Whilst studying topics such as the law of tort and advanced tort at university, she became interested in the litigation process, preferring the contentious aspects of law.
Having previously undertaken considerable charitable and volunteer work, such as providing education and resources for disadvantaged children, Nadine has always been keen to work in an area of law that directly affects individuals. Embarking on matters relating to Personal Injury claims correlates with these interests. Joining the costs team has therefore enabled Nadine to enter a specialised area relating to the procedural aspects of law that she finds the most stimulating.
Throughout university and since graduating, Nadine has obtained experience through various internships, most predominantly within an in-house legal department at a commercial company. She has also broadened her knowledge on the legal profession by undertaking virtual internships during the public health crisis. Nadine’s previous experience entails assisting on various matters ranging from licensing arrangements to commercial contracts and insurance, conducting work such as legal research, document review and drafting legal documents and correspondences.
After University, Nadine worked as an administrative assistant in the Netherlands prior to joining Bolt Burdon Kemp.
